Local vs Long Distance MLM Recruiting Tips

Local and long distance mlm recruiting are two ways to recruit into your network marketing business.  These are two very different approaches to recruiting and they both have their advantages and disadvantages.

First let’s talk about recruiting locally. Recruiting locally is very difficult because you must revert back to the old school network marketing techniques for the most part. You’re back to hounding your friends, family, and neighbors to get involved in your business. Then you will have to start joining civic and other social clubs once your prospects run dry. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with civic and other social club, the problem is having to join them to recruit. That is a negative for most of us.

There is hope however. By focusing your internet network marketing efforts locally, you can attract individuals that are interested in your business. You have the option of using search engine keywords related to cities where you live. For example, you can write articles about Atlanta, GA network marketers. You will eventually show up on search engine results. Additionally, search engines such as Google allow Pay-per-Click advertising locally. These techniques will allow you to work locally.

Not let’s discuss long distance recruiting. Long distance recruiting allows you to recruit prospects from a much larger group of individuals. Some local communities were hit by the early network marketing companies. This will have good and bad results for you. Some companies took advantage of unsuspecting individuals. You can eliminate this problem by recruiting long distance. You can focus on individuals that are truly interested. One disadvantage that arises from recruiting long distance is that you spend all of your time on the phone and very little face to face time. Some individuals need that personal time with others to truly connect.

Ultimately recruiting is all up to you. Recruiting locally and nationally both have its advantages and disadvantages, so make sure you take advantage of both to maximize your results.

I really learned something in this article, John. Yes I am one of the new breed of attraction marketers and do shun the local thing, but I had never thought of writing content for my area or town which could position me on search engines when someone accesses info on this part of the world.
Thanks for teaching, love to learn.
