The Dreaded Email from Your Network Marketing Company: Cease and Desist

Have you ever received the dreaded cease and desist email from your network marketing company? I did for the first time yesterday. It was completely my fault. I created a Youtube video a long time ago that included the name of my network marketing company in it.
Cease and desist is an order or request to halt an activity or face legal action or termination from your network marketing business. Ouch!
Let me explain the harsh reality of the network marketing world; the company you are in could care less about you. The only objective for all network marketing companies is to make money.
Most network marketing companies are under intense scrutiny from bricks and mortar businesses, online retailers, ethics groups, state and federal laws, law makers, the consumer, the media, and about any other group imaginable. So if you are trying to build your business outside of the box, expect a worst from your network marketing company.
Most network marketing companies follow the old school marketing approach of hounding your friends, family, and neighbors with the word of mouth advertising. Only a fraction of all network marketers make any money following this approach. As long as you are purchasing their materials, pay their monthly or yearly dues, and only talking to people you already know, your network marketing company is happy. Your network marketing company is happy because they are making money and they have complete control.
It’s scary to think that you have to give complete control to your network marketing company. There is a way around this and it is called attraction marketing. Attraction marketing is the process by which you can:
· attraction an unlimited number of prospects to you
· cultivate relationships with your prospects
· pre-sell through your content
· establish trust
· position yourself as a leader
All of this can be done without the violation of your network marketing company’s terms of service and/or policies and procedures. Learn to avoid the dreaded cease and desist email.
To make a long story short, I’m now in compliance with my network marketing company. Additionally, I have not faced any adverse actions, such as termination. Hopefully this is a lesson that others can learn from.
