How to Rank High on the Search Engines to Attract More Prospects to Your Business

Make sure to focus on less competitive keywords. You may be thinking, why don’t I want to be part of a larger audience? The simple answer is no. Staying focused will get you connected with more prospects.

Try doing a keyword search on “travel”. What do you see from the search results? Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, and Priceline are usually the top results. Expedia online spends over $5 million a week in just advertising alone. Can you complete with is? If you are competing with “travel”, you will never be found.

If you narrow your focus to keywords to something like “cruising with kids”, you now can complete. Do a search on “cruising with kids”. You will see lots of articles that are written by individuals, not companies spending millions.

Let’s look at the keyword “electronics”. Again you get all of the big boys that spend millions in advertising trying to get you to buy electronics. Now do a search on “HD video camera”. Again you get a list of results that anyone can complete with.

With good, well positioned content, you can attract more Prospects

By targeting your marketing focus on less competitive words, you now are in the driver’s seat. You can become a big fish in the pond and not the minnow.
